ROSAS

Sample logos

Part of a pitch to design the identity of the Rosas dance ensemble built around choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and based in Belgium.

The idea was to create a flexible identity based on playful brush strokes applied to a technical skeleton (‘Gravure’ by Cornel Windlin), representing various dichotomies (ie. freedom and discipline) or relationships (ie. music and dance.)

The resulting logo variations could then be used interchangably, depending on the context of the application, emphasising the varied output of Rosas (Mozart to Reich).

(This was my first and last experiment with flexible identity systems of this sort.)
